Family Fun Night for the football and cheer teams is this Friday at 6:30pm. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served at the football field. There will be a quick meeting to learn about the booster club. Stick around after the meeting for fun activities such as a dunk tank, inflatable water slide, tug of war, and water balloon fight. PHES Back to School Night is August 19th from 5:30pm-6:30pm. This is a great time to meet your teacher and bring supplies for the 2021-2022 school year.
PHES is currently enrolling new students. Feel free to stop by the elementary anytime between 9:00am and 2:00pm.
Pleasant Hope High School is open each day this week from 9am to 2pm for students to stop in and get their schedules and locker assignments etc.
We encourage all to stop up and pay their chromebook fees as well this week so we can get that knocked out before school starts.
All Incoming Freshman, we have your chromebook here ready to go this week if you could please stop up and get your chromebook with your $50 usage fee and it will be yours to take home and get prepared for school.

Middle School Athletics will start on Monday, August 16th for all students going into grades 6-8 that would like to participate in Football, Volleyball, or Cross Country. This is a new change this year to allow 6th graders to participate in Middle School Athletics.

PHMS football camp is happening this week from 7:00pm-8:30pm for any athlete entering 7th or 8th grade that is interested in playing football this year. Camp will be held at the middle school.
Middle School Cheer Tryouts start tonight at Pleasant Hope Middle School Gym. Please see the attached picture for details.
High school football camp Monday through Friday 7:30-10:30 am next two weeks for all high players interested in playing football.
Middle school football camp for all 7th and 8th grade players interested in playing is July 26th (Monday) through July 29th (Thursday) 7:00-8:30pm.

PHS Football is hosting a meeting at 7 PM Saturday July 10th at the football field. We will be serving hot dogs, chips and drinks. This will be an important meeting to be at. Parents and players! If you athlete is going to be in 7th-12th grade and is considering football or has any questions please come. Practice under the lights to follow.

Today, Pleasant Hope Elementary School was notified of 2 new positive COVID-19 exposures within Pleasant Hope Elementary School. The positive cases were 2 students at PHES. Please join us in wishing them a quick and speedy recovery.
At the direction of the Polk County Health Department all students and employees who were exposed directly to the individual who tested positive for COVID 19 are being contacted by the Polk County Health Department. If you do not receive a phone call about this situation, no action is needed on your part.
As a reminder, exposure notifications will be distributed each day (and at the completion of the weekends) if there are positive cases within the elementary school moving forward. We want to remind students and parents that we are required to follow the guidelines of the CDC and Polk County Health Departments in regards to isolation and quarantine to help stop the spread of the virus. We encourage you to continue to do your part to keep everyone safe. We want to keep school moving forward as best we can and do our best to keep our school environment safe.
