Virtual students should be able to find scheduling documents for the 2021-2022 school year on their Google Classroom Pages for their Class. Look on your corresponding pages of Class of 2022, Class of 2023, Class of 2024, and Class of 2025 to select the classes available to you for next school year. 8th Grade Parents High School Scheduling documents for 2021-2022 were sent home today with 8th grade students to register for High School Classes. Please visit with your child in the next few days to fill out the form choosing classes that you feel are best for them for the start of high school next year. Please return the form to the middle school office by Tuesday, March 2nd. Thank you for all you do to help us in the education of your child. Due to state guidelines and AMI instruction during snow days, we currently have to make up 2 snow days missed. We will be in session on Monday, March 1st and March 22nd. If the district has any more snow days we will make them up as well. Have a great day!

Parents for High School Students in Grades 9, 10, 11 Scheduling Packets were handed out today for your students for registering for classes for the 2021-2022 school year. We have instructed students to visit with parents tonight and tomorrow night to choose the classes they would like to schedule for next year. Please visit with your child over the next couple days to help choose the classes you feel are best for your child. They were also sent home with their transcript of completed classes so they could see what the state requirements are for each of the curriculum areas. Standard yearbook price is $13. Personalization may be added for $1 for name only or $5 for name and portrait. *The deadline for ordering personalization is Wednesday, February 24.

High School Basketball Games vs Humansville are cancelled for this evening. Games against Miller will be played tomorrow Friday, Feb. 19th starting with JV Boys at 5pm

There will be no school Wednesday, February 17th. The remainder of days will be snow days only. The department of education does not allow more than 5 days of student AMI.

High School Basketball Games vs Miller are cancelled for tonight. These will be made up on Friday, February 19th if possible with a 5pm start. Niangua games from yesterday have been cancelled permanently.

I wanted to relay the message that I have some teachers that are experiencing the rolling blackouts across Springfield this morning at their homes and will not have access to power and internet. Many have information still posted in their Google Classrooms and want you to proceed with that information but also to know that your teachers may not be available via Zoom or email if their power and internet stay down during the course of your class period. Please stay safe and warm

If you are craving some sweets tomorrow try making snow ice cream! Bundle up when you go outside to get your snow! Frostbite can occur within 15 minutes! Ingredients and directions below: 1 cup milk (any kind) 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 pinch salt 8 cups clean snow or shaved ice (more or less, depending on the density of the snow) optional topping: sprinkles! In a large bowl, whisk milk, sugar, vanilla and salt together until combined. Go scoop up some fresh (clean!) snow, and immediately stir it into the milk mixture until you reach your desired consistency. (The ice cream should be fluffy, not runny. But it melts quickly, so dive in quickly.) Top with sprinkles or other ice cream toppings if desired, and enjoy!

PHMS will have a virtual learning day on Tuesday, February 16th. Students will need to login to Google Classroom and meet with their teachers virtually. Stay safe and warm!

No school tomorrow, 2/16. On Friday all ES students were mailed Day 5 for AMI learning. They should be arriving soon. DESE only allows 5 AMI days. All other days missed past 2/16 will be made up.

No school Tuesday the 16th. Students will utilize the last AMI day available to us.

High School Basketball Games against Niangua tonight and MS Boys Basketball Games against Miller tonight have both been cancelled. High School Niangua Game is tentatively rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 19th.
