Ilandria Shuler and Zane Hull competed in State Cross Country today and both ran amazing races representing Pleasant Hope High School. Ilandria placed 42nd and Zane finished 10th. Congratulations to these two as well as Coach Sherrer and Coach Davis!!
5th Grade is learning about the Water Cycle and working in groups to create their own diagram.
Middle school picture retakes will be held on Thursday, November 5th. Only students who would like to get a retake will have their picture taken. Virtual students can attend between 7:30am-8:00am if they would like their picture taken.
Pleasant Hope High School will be hosting a Veterans Celebration on Friday, November 13th at 10:00am in the High School Gymnasium. All local veterans and families are welcome to attend.

We have received this information from Windsor High School regarding the MSHSAA football playoff game tomorrow night for Pleasant Hope Football!!
“We are officially moving the game to Clinton tomorrow. I will send the address to the facility here shortly.
Since their field is turf, they only allow water on the field. No Gatorade, gum, sunflower seeds, etc. Also, people are not allowed on the track, but they encourage people to bring chairs and sit outside of the track. Fans are also encouraged to wear masks and socially distance or sit in family units. Concessions will not be available.”
Further details and address of the stadium will be forwarded once we have them. Game time is 7:00pm.
HS Boys Basketball practice will start on Monday, November 2nd. All players must have a current physical and insurance papers on file in order to participate in practice. Monday's practice will be from 9:30 am -12:00 pm at the High School Gym. Players are to bring all practice jerseys that they have to Monday's practice. We are excited to get the '20-'21 season started!

The Pleasant Hope Football team will be playing at Windsor High School on Friday night at 7:00pm to begin the District Playoff Schedule.
Admission for the game is $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for students.

Honoring two excellent seniors and their families on Volleyball Senior Parent Night
We were notified this afternoon of a positive COVID-19 exposure within Pleasant Hope Middle School. The positive case is a student at PHMS. Please join us in wishing them a quick and speedy recovery. The student was last on campus and considered contagious on October 22nd. At the direction of the Polk County Health Department, all students and employees who were exposed directly to the individual who tested positive for COVID 19 are being contacted by the Polk County Health Department. Those needing to isolate and self quarantine to help stop the spread have been or will be notified by the Polk County Health Department or the school nursing staff. If you do not receive a phone call about this situation, no action is needed on your part. As a reminder, exposure notifications will be distributed each day and at the completion of the weekends if there are positive cases within the middle school moving forward. We want to remind students and parents that we are required to follow the guidelines of the CDC and Polk County Health Departments in regard to isolation and quarantine to help stop the spread of the virus. We encourage you to continue to do your part to keep everyone safe. We want to keep school moving forward as best we can and do our best to keep our school environment safe.
