PHMS Football is hosting an informational meeting next Thursday, May 28th. The meeting will be held in the middle school commons area at 6pm. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Boker at jboker@phr6.org.
Under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020, families that qualify for free or reduced price meals at school may be eligible for a new one-time Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) of up to $302 per child (Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 12) to help cover the cost of meals students have eaten at home on days that schools have been closed. Students can receive P-EBT benefits even if they have been or continue to receive meals provided by the school district during the school closure. If your child was not previously eligible for free or reduced price meals, but you have now lost income, you may be eligible to receive P-EBT benefits (review the P-EBT Eligibility Criteria document below).
The benefit is placed on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card families use to buy food. If you received Food Stamp (SNAP) benefits in March, do not apply for these new/additional benefits. The full $302 will automatically be loaded to your existing EBT card. If you did not receive Food Stamp (SNAP) benefits in March, you must apply for this benefit by June 30, 2020 (see below).
The most efficient way to apply is to submit your application online at EmergencyMealSurvey.com/MO. You will also likely experience a faster approval process. If you’re not able to apply online, you can follow the link below to the paper application. The fillable PDF document can then be emailed or mailed to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). You will find complete instructions and additional details in the letter to families below.
Please review these important documents carefully:
• P-EBT Letter to Families
• P-EBT Eligibility Criteria
• P-EBT Online Application
• P-EBT Paper Application (hard copy to fill out and email or mail to DESE if you’re not able to submit the application online)
• P-EBT Frequently Asked Questions
To request a paper application be mailed to you, please contact our Food and Nutrition Services office at 417-267-2850 x 2100. Please do not send completed applications to your school; see the letter to families above for application submission information.
The Department of Social Services (DSS) will send families a letter indicating they are approved or denied. If you have questions on how to apply for the P-EBT benefit, contact DSS through the online chat feature at mydss.mo.gov or call 855-373-4636. For more information on the EBT card, visit: mydss.mo.gov/food-assistance/ebt.

PLEASANT HOPE CLASS OF 2020
Seniors and your Families,
Graduation is set for 10:00am Saturday, June 6th at the Pleasant Hope High School Football Field. Gates will open at 8:30am for people to attend the graduation ceremony. There will be free seating on the football field for patrons to bring their own lawn chairs and sit on the field for the ceremony. You will also have the option to sit in the grandstand if you would like as well. We have done our measurements and know that we have plenty of room to space out for anyone that wants to attend the ceremony based on our expected attendance from past years. The only requirement will be that you cannot place chairs and sit on the running track surface itself as far as seating goes.
The Graduation Ceremony of our Class of 2020 Seniors will begin promptly at 10:00am on Saturday, June 6th with procession onto the football field beginning at 10:00am. We ask that all seniors be to the Middle School West Doors and into the 7th and 8th Grade hallway at 9:00am sharp on Saturday, June 6th to organize and take a senior group picture in the gymnasium at 9:30am spaced out on the bleachers in there.
SENIORS - We will have a mandatory practice the day before Friday, June 5th at 12:00pm on the football field. Please plan to be there for a practice of how the ceremony will go and we can practice for a great celebration of your High School Graduation the following day!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2020!!!!!! WE LOOK FORWARD TO RECOGNIZING THIS AMAZING CLASS!!!!!
Pleasant Hope High School Summer School Enrollment
High School Parents and Students,
Your children should have received an email today with their usernames and logins for the summer school session. We have enrolled many kids, but it is not too late to still enroll if you would like to.
Please insure that you have checked with your child to see if they have received their login information and can access their courses for the summer. If you are having any problems, please contact Mr. Offerdahl at bofferdahl@phr6.org or Mr. Lankford at clankford@phr6.org and we can get you enrolled.
We want to insure all students have a chance to take a summer school class or make-up a class they may not have passed that is required to graduate.
The summer school is virtual online from home and students will have until July 31 to complete their classes and earn a passing grade. We have access to some internet hotspots for any families that do not have internet access at home that is reliable.
Please consider enrolling to earn some credits for the summer if you have not enrolled already.
Thanks,
Brent Offerdahl
