What an EXCELLENT evening as we celebrated our Fine Arts! We had our art gallery produced by Ms. Scott & our PHMS & PHHS art students. That was followed by a great music concert tonight by Ms. Hanks & the music students at PHMS & PHHS! Thank you for displaying your amazing musical talents!

Yesterday, we had our 1st ever Academic Celebration at PHHS, where we recognized student achievement. We are very proud of our PHHS Pirates! More photos to come!




PHES 4th Quarter 25 AR Point Club celebration! Little water themed!





Mrs. Davis' class celebrated winning PHES Winter Reading Challenge through Polk County Library. Their reward was a bounce house and ice cream.







It's a great day to be a pirate! Mrs.McGrady's 3rd graders had a hair raising time at the Discovery Center and Doling Park.











These students worked hard at reading and comprehending to earn 150 AR Points. A few made it way past 150. They were reward with a fun trip to Urban Air.

For Community Service Day, our third graders brought goodie bags and ladybug planters to: City Hall, Police Department, Fire Department, School Board Members, and our District Office. Thank you for all you do for the community of Pleasant Hope.

The PHES Student Council recognized our school's board members, substitute teachers, and room parents at a Thank You Breakfast on May 9. Some of the representatives and staff shared their thoughts, and the kids passed out thank you cards.

All PHMS students were able to complete their service projects today. All students are back in the building and will be released at 3:00. No tutoring or after-school activities today. Be safe!



PHR6 Schools will dismiss at 3:00 p.m. today, per the National Weather Service forecast of increasing risks of severe weather during normal dismissal times. Also, all after school activities (clubs, sports, practices, and special events) are cancelled for this evening. Unfortunately, the Baccalaureate is also cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Thank you and stay safe!

Varsity Baseball scheduled for today at Miller will not played due to the threat of storms and potential rain.

Weather permitting, the Baseball Team will play at Miller today. Game time is set for 2:30 pm.

PHR6 Friendly Reminders for Weather Safety: PHR6 Schools has emergency plans and backpacks with supplies prepared for our students, regular drills in sheltering areas, and closely monitors incoming weather through the National Weather Service. The New Beginnings Family Church at 301 West Cowden in Pleasant Hope offers a basement for sheltering during severe weather for those who need it. Please stay weather aware!



PHMS students will be serving the community today. Our 5th, 6th, and 7th graders will be cleaning up from 8:30-10:30. Our 8th graders will be traveling to Bolivar as scheduled unless severe weather warnings are issued closer to time. Updates will be shared as they are needed. Your students safety is our number one concern. Please reach out to our office if you have any questions.


PHMS Community Service Day activities for tomorrow may be moved to a later date due to expected weather forecasts for Wednesday. We will post updates as we know more. Please reach out if you need help from last night's storms and be safe driving tomorrow in the high water areas.
