The 5th graders just finished a unit on Animal Systems, so to demonstrate their knowledge they had a Human Body/Organ System Project. These students worked so hard and created some wonderful bodies.

The 5th graders had the opportunity to have MO Beef come and do presentations for them. The students asked many great questions. They were also able to see some neat tools used on cattle farms. Fifth graders were taught about the different types of cattle farms, for the different life stages of cows. They also learn about the many uses for many cow parts, in addition to the meat cuts from cow. Lastly, the students learned about several different jobs in the beef industry.

Gardening Club enjoyed making some pinecone bird feeders with peanut butter and birdseed.

📚 Fantastic News! 📚 Our amazing students showcased incredible PERSEVERANCE while ice skating! 🌟 Those who met their AR reading goals enjoyed ICE SKATING at Jordan Valley Ice Park last Friday! ⛸️❄️ They laced up their skates and glided into a well-deserved reward for all their dedication to reading! 📖🎉

MO Beef presented to the 5th grade students at PHMS this last week. Students learned about "Pasture to Plate." The lesson was taught by one of the MO Beef Academy students (high schoolers that promote the program and beef across the state). Thanks to the generosity of local farmers, PH Schools' students have been blessed this school year with local (MO) beef donations from our PH community. This year's local farmers that have donated to-date include: Chris & Aubrey McElroy & Family, Randy & Darlene Pett, Sam & Patty McElroy, David & Debra Agee, and the Whitney & Cariel Grove/Colby & Jennifer Grove Families. WE ARE STILL SEEKING ONE MORE DONATION FOR PROCESSING IN MARCH! If you are able to donate, please contact Aubrey McElroy at 840-3214 or aubreymcelroy@gmail.com.
THANK YOU AGAIN TO THOSE THAT HAVE PROVIDED QUALITY BEEF TO PH STUDENTS THIS YEAR ALREADY!
